Rupal “Shiva” Shah earned their Juris Doctor with a concentration in Social Justice Lawyering from University of California Law San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings) in 2016. They volunteered at the Legal Assistance and Referral Clinic and the General Assistance Advocacy Project Clinic while in law school. Shiva also served as the Submissions and Acquisitions Editor for the Hastings Race and Poverty Law Journal, and an officer of OutLaw. They graduated cum laude from San Jose State University in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Science and Sociology. Shiva volunteered as a Victim’s Advocate in LA County, then in the Los Angeles City Attorney’s Office, Misdemeanor Department. They also volunteered as a Youth Advocate and Law Volunteer at Fresh Lifelines for Youth (FLY) and later on at the Immigration Clinic at Orange County Communities Organized for Responsible Development (OCCORD). Shiva has experience representing clients in asbestos matters and labor and employment matters, and brings their passion, empathy, and advocacy for every client they represent. Shiva was admitted to the California Bar in 2023.
