Scott Frost shares his insights from our newsletter:
Mother’s Day coming up naturally has me thinking about my mom.
But not in the way most people expect.
It brings me back to when my dad was diagnosed with cancer.
Years of asbestos exposure led up to that moment.
I’ve shared a little about that before.
What stands out to me now isn’t just the diagnosis itself.
It’s how my mom handled everything around it.
She was by his side through all of it.
The hospital visits.
The constantly changing medications.
The stretches where things seemed stable, and then suddenly weren’t.
At the time, I don’t think I fully understood how much she was carrying.
Looking back, that experience changed how I see these situations.
Not just what happened, but everything around it.
Who steps in when it matters most.
Who keeps everything from falling behind.
Who makes sure nothing important gets overlooked.
It’s not always the most visible role.
But in my experience, it’s often the reason everything else holds together.
Wishing you a meaningful Mother’s Day this weekend.
